As a new patient, the first thing to do is call our main phone number (859-624-2454). Our staff will call back and take your information and will have one of our psychologists call to set up a time for your intake appointment. Before your first appointment, you will complete some intake forms.

What is a Psychologist?
A Psychologist is a trained professional who specializes in mental health and well-being. There are many types of Psychologists who may specialize in researching and or treating various disorders such as Depression, Anxiety, ADHD to name a few. Psychologists may also specialize in or discover new methodologies of treatment to work for a specific disorder or for a specific client
How many sessions will it take?
The number of sessions will vary based on the individual client and their needs. Your Psychologist will inform you on how often they want to see you and will keep you updated on how long they will want to work with you.
How long do appointments go for?
A normal appointment will go for a clinic hour (45 minutes). However, this time may vary based on the particular client and the services they receive.
How much is the cost of a consultation?
The cost of a consultation will largely depend on whether or not you have insurance and how much the insurance will cover. For more detail about what your specific sessions will cost, talk to your Psychologist.
What insurance do we accept?
At MindPsi we accept Anthem or BlueCross BlueShield. This does not include Medicaid related plans.
Does your insurance cover mental health services?
To find out whether your insurance company covers mental health services, talk with your insurance provider. They will be able to tell you if they cover mental health services and how much they cover per period. To find out what insurances MindPsi accepts, the FAQ titled “What insurances do we accept?”
What is your Cancellation Policy?
We ask that if you cannot make it to your scheduled appointment to let us know at least 24 hours before. Appointments that are canceled less than 24 hours prior may be subject to a fee.
What is your Privacy Policy?
At MindPsi we adhere to HIPPA and all State and Federal guidelines in regards to client confidentiality and security. This is to ensure the confidentiality of our clients while providing them with the best care. All information provided by the client in their forms or in sessions is completely confidential and will not be shared outside of the client and clinician. The only events in which any information would be disclosed outside of the client and clinician would be in the event of a court order, the client is at risk of harming themselves or others, or billing for third party payers (i.e. insurance).
